Overseeing its communications strategy, Lucas quickly established Zopa as one of the most mentioned digital banks in the press, quadrupling its media coverage. He also developed the new narrative for its transition from a peer-to-peer lender to a fully regulated bank, managed a $300 million funding round from Softbank Vision Fund II, and led a 60-member industry coalition at pledge2025.org to combat the high cost of living.

Lucas has 20 years of on-the-record media experience as a former journalist, political aide, and Associate Director at Milltown Partners where he advised some of Silicon Valley's most iconic technology firms.
